Job Description

The State of South Dakota is hiring a Summer Seasonal Wildlife Habitat Management worker in Chamberlain, SD. The role involves assisting with noxious weed control, herbicide application, and various wildlife habitat projects. Applicants must be at least 18 and possess a valid driver's license. Description:
The seasonal's primary duty will be to assist the department's noxious weed control program, including herbicide application as well as the required herbicide application data entry. The seasonal may assist Region II staff with miscellaneous projects, including but not limited to, posting of signs, mowing trails and parking areas, fencing and miscellaneous wildlife habitat projects. Assistance with other division section (Fisheries, Wildlife, Law Enforcement, and Animal Damage Control) projects will be encouraged, as time and opportunity permit.

General Requirements:
Applicant must be at least 18 at date of employment and a valid driver's license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Applicants should have general knowledge of South Dakota's noxious weed control program and ATV/UTV experience. Experience with farm machinery and heavy equipment as well.
