Job Description
Alignerr is seeking a Wildlife and Habitat Conservation Scientist to evaluate AI systems focused on biodiversity and ecosystem management. Responsibilities include reviewing AI-generated scenarios for scientific accuracy, providing expert feedback, and working independently. The position requires 3+ years of experience in wildlife biology or ecology, offering flexible hours (10–40/week) and a pay rate of $30–55/hour. This is a fully remote, hourly contract role.

We're looking for wildlife and habitat conservation scientists to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on biodiversity protection and ecosystem management. Your field expertise will directly shape how AI understands, reasons about, and communicates conservation science — making a real impact on one of the most important applications of AI technology.

What You'll Do
Review AI-generated wildlife and habitat conservation scenarios for scientific accuracy and ecological validityAssess the quality of ecological reasoning and conservation strategies produced by AI systemsIdentify unrealistic assumptions, misapplied conservation methods, or flawed ecological logicProvide structured, expert feedback to improve how AI handles biodiversity and ecosystem topicsWork independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
3+ years of hands-on experience in wildlife biology, ecology, or habitat conservationStrong working knowledge of biodiversity principles and ecosystem management practicesAble to critically evaluate applied ecological reasoning in written formComfortable reviewing and annotating structured scientific contentDetail-oriented, self-motivated, and reliable
Nice to Have
Graduate degree in Ecology, Wildlife Biology, or a closely related fieldExperience in field research or applied conservation programsFamiliarity with AI systems, content evaluation, or scientific annotation workflows
