Job Description
Alignerr is seeking a Wildlife and Habitat Conservation Scientist to evaluate AI systems focused on biodiversity protection. The role involves reviewing AI-generated conservation scenarios for accuracy, providing feedback, and working independently on a flexible schedule. Candidates should have over 3 years of experience in wildlife biology or ecology. This is a remote, hourly contract position with a commitment of 10-40 hours per week, offering a salary of $30-55 per hour.

About The Role
We're looking for wildlife and habitat conservation scientists to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on biodiversity protection and ecosystem management. Your field expertise will directly shape how AI understands, reasons about, and communicates complex conservation science — making a real impact on one of the most important domains in AI development.

What You'll Do
Review AI-generated wildlife and habitat conservation scenarios for scientific accuracy and ecological validityAssess the quality of ecological reasoning, species management strategies, and conservation methodologiesIdentify unrealistic assumptions, misapplied techniques, or gaps in biodiversity and ecosystem logicProvide clear, structured feedback that helps AI systems improve their understanding of conservation scienceWork independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
3+ years of hands-on experience in wildlife biology, ecology, or habitat conservationStrong working knowledge of biodiversity principles and ecosystem management practicesAble to critically evaluate applied ecological reasoning presented in written formComfortable reviewing structured scientific content and providing detailed, actionable feedbackSelf-motivated and reliable with the ability to meet project deadlines independently
Nice to Have
Graduate degree in Ecology, Wildlife Biology, Conservation Science, or a related fieldExperience in field research or conservation program managementFamiliarity with AI systems, content evaluation workflows, or data annotation platforms
