Job Summary:
We are looking for an organised, customer-focused Wedding Coordinator to join our team at Coltsfoot Country Retreat. This role is perfect for someone with hospitality experience who is passionate about helping couples create their dream wedding. As a Wedding Coordinator, you’ll be the main point of contact for couples throughout their planning journey, providing exceptional service, guidance, and support to ensure every event runs smoothly and professionally. You will be there on the day of the event to oversee and run the event to schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
• Client Relations & Planning:
• Meet with couples to understand their vision and guide them through the planning process, discussing details such as layout, timeline, catering, and decor.
• Ensure clear and consistent communication with clients, answering questions, and addressing any concerns with a positive, professional demeanor.
• Event Execution & Venue Operations:
• Open and close the venue according to protocols, ensuring all areas are prepared before events and secured afterward.
• Coordinate day-of logistics, ensuring the venue is set up according to the couple’s specifications and maintaining a calm and efficient atmosphere.
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager to oversee venue staff and maintain high standards in customer service, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
• Problem Solving & Adaptability:
• Act as the primary problem-solver during events, quickly adapting to any changes and ensuring the couple and guests remain stress-free.
• Handle any last-minute changes or emergencies calmly and professionally, ensuring seamless execution despite unexpected circumstances.
• Promotional & Customer Relations Support:
• Engage with guests, suppliers, and couples to foster positive relationships and promote the venue through exceptional service.
• Provide follow-up support and encourage positive reviews and testimonials, enhancing the venue’s reputation.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience in hospitality or event coordination preferred
• Ability to work weekends and accommodate event schedules, including occasional late nights with a variety of shifts, on any 5 days from 7, on any day of the year
• Excellent customer service skills; comfortable working with couples, guests, and suppliers
• Highly organised, with strong multitasking abilities and a high level of adaptability
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time 8 – 12 hours
• Flexibility and willingness to work beyond business hours if required
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Monitoring Rota's to ensure staffing levels are accurate for the day of the event
• Candidates must be eligible to work full-time in the UK
