This role is designed for an experienced Professional Engineer (PE) who wants full project ownership, client leadership, and long‑term career growth within a collaborative consulting environment. You will lead the delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects that enhance public health and environmental quality.What You’ll DoManage municipal water and wastewater projects through planning, design, permitting, and constructionEnsure schedule adherence, budget control, and quality standardsBuild and nurture client partnerships, understanding their needs and delivering creative, cost‑effective solutionsManage contracts, purchase orders, project documentation, and daily correspondence with clients and subcontractorsTake charge of project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash management, while ensuring timely payments and accurate reportingLead monthly project review meetings, communicating progress and updates to clients, management, and project teamsDevelop and implement health and safety plans, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirementsEmbrace a "seller/doer" mindset, actively developing new business opportunities and expanding services providedWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree preferredMinimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience; minimum of 4 years of project management experience requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredAdvanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, Micro Station, etc.)Strong technical background in design, construction and rehabilitation for water/wastewater conveyance and treatmentProven ability to manage scope, budget and schedule of technical tasksStrong leadership, organization, problem‑solving, and multitasking skillsStrong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering lawsStrong skills in project accounting, budgeting, and financial managementProven ability to prepare scopes, budgets, contracts and proposalsExperience interpreting client contracts and managing multiple projects simultaneously with demonstrated success in managing client relationshipsArticulate communicator who adapts messaging for diverse audiencesProficiency in MS Office required; knowledge of Deltek Vision, MS Project, or Primavera P6 is a plusAbility to travel as neededConsulting industry experience highly preferredParticipation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferredWhy You’ll Love It HereAdvance your career in a collaborative environment that values innovation and sustainabilityFlexible work environment with opportunities for local and occasional travelMake a real impact by helping deliver clean water and safe wastewater solutions to communitiesCurious about the impactful work our Water team is doing?
