EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Performs visual, olfactory, and auditory checks of assigned areas of the treatment plant to detect any failures of equipment and electronicsMonitors and validates Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) information, including chemical feeds, filter rates, reservoir levels and filter parameters. Operates and makes equipment adjustments as neededPerforms facility equipment inspections such as monitoring distribution tank levels, responding to plant equipment alarms, and determining required corrective actions. Completes repairs and/or notifies appropriate maintenance personnel, leader, or supervisor of critical issuesPerforms, collects and/or reports sampling and laboratory analysis for process control and/or compliance reporting. Monitors chemical levels within established parameters and verifies data accuracy and reliabilityReceives and responds to briefings related to current plant status, safety, training and daily operating instructions. Reviews SCADA status and performs assigned operational and routine maintenance tasksEnters and maintains data in laboratory information management system, such as daily logs and assignment-related documentationReceives and monitors chemical deliveries and required tank capacity and maintains appropriate storage of chemicals and suppliesPerforms routine grounds maintenance and general maintenance of work areas. As needed, hauls, dumps, and loads residualsAttends team meetings and safety training

Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Working Conditions: Work is performed in both the field and in an indoor office environment with frequent exposure to hazardous physical conditions (such as mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibration, etc.); frequent exposure to atmospheric conditions (such as fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, etc.); moderate exposure to hazardous materials (such as chemicals, blood and other body fluids); frequent exposure to environmental conditions (such as disruptive people, imminent danger, or a threatening environment); frequent exposure to extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting and movement restrictions; and moderate exposure intense noise or travel.
