From delivering safe drinking water and treating wastewater responsibly to developing sustainable water supplies and protecting lives and property through flood control, your work will directly support public health, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure resilience.
HDR Engineering is searching for an experienced National Business Class Lead for Irrigation to lead our irrigation practice. The primary duties of the Irrigation Lead are to manage the planning and design of irrigation projects including coordination and leading project teams.
Responsibilities:
• Lead our irrigation practice and manage the planning and design of irrigation projects.
• Drive engagement and activities with irrigation clients across the region.
• Develop national strategy for Irrigation clients and track implementation.
• Work independently and organize, supervise work of medium to large teams of professionals and technicians.
• Develop proposals, scopes of work, and contract cost estimates.
• Mentor and supervise staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 20+ years Water Resources experience, emphasis on irrigation strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.
• Maintains a professional or Engineering registration and has related technical experience.
• Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.
• Works cooperatively with other business class directors, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts.

Expected compensation range: $163,422 - $324,250 depending on skills, experience, education and location. (Stated benefits are for full‑time regular positions. Temporary and part‑time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
