Job Summary*

We are seeking an experienced Water Resources Specialist to join our team at the State of Delaware. As a key member of our environmental team, you will be responsible for ensuring the protection of Delaware's water quality through the issuance of wastewater construction permits.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil or environmental engineering, with experience in reviewing water and wastewater permit applications, monitoring reports, and treatment system construction/design documents.

In this role, you will also have the opportunity to work with developers, engineering contractors, county officials, and other DNREC programs to support permit development for large wastewater systems, point source wastewater dischargers, and other wastewater and stormwater activities.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement effective strategies for protecting Delaware's water quality
• Review and evaluate permit applications, blueprints, and/or designs prepared by others to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations
• Collaborate with developers, engineering contractors, county officials, and other DNREC programs to support permit development
