Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Water Resources Project Manager in Franklin, TN. The role involves managing water resource projects, including stormwater management and permitting, while collaborating with clients and a multidisciplinary team. As a Water Resource Engineer for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll have the opportunity to work collaboratively in an employee-owned company while interacting with clients, contractors, regulators, and local government officials. At CEC, you will provide services for projects of various complexities with opportunities in stormwater management & compliance, water resources & construction permitting, Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) services, watershed management, stormwater design & permitting, Your involvement throughout the lifespan of projects will be from conception through construction as you contribute to the analysis, design, development of plans & specifications, permitting applications, bidding, and construction engineering. You will work collaboratively with our diverse team of talented, passionate, multidisciplinary experts as we provide unique solutions to meet our clients’ needs with innovation and a vision for growth. Key Responsibilities:
• Stormwater permitting and erosion prevention and sediment control permitting related to transportation and site development projects;
• Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews on projects;
• Provide mentoring, training, and oversight for staff;
• Manage water resource related projects and tasks;
• Pursue client management and business development opportunities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil, Water Resources, or Biosystems Engineering (or related field);
• Professional Engineer licensed in Tennessee or able to obtain a TN license;
• 15+ years of relevant water resources design and permitting experience;
• Well established reputation and recognition in the Tennessee regional marketplace through relationships with environmental regulatory agencies;
• Experience mentoring and managing staff.
Preferred Capabilities:
• Excellent project management, time management, and organizational skills with a thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting and efficient use of time and resources;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate via phone, email, technical writing, and in-person;
• Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to engage in creative and critical thought.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or Microstation, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA SWMM HydroCAD, or other water resources software preferred, but not required.
