Job Title: Water Resources Engineer (Hydraulic Modeling)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Water Resources Engineer with expertise in hydraulic modeling to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and management of water resource projects, ensuring the efficient and sustainable use of water resources. They primarily serve the mid-Atlantic region from six strategically located offices. PE (Professional Engineering License) or EIT are highly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Hydraulic and Hydrological Modeling: Develop and utilize sophisticated hydraulic models to simulate and analyze water flow in rivers, streams, and other water bodies. Conduct hydrologic analyses to support water resource planning and management. Flood Risk Assessment: Perform flood risk assessments and design flood defense systems to mitigate the impact of flooding on communities and infrastructure. Water Supply and Treatment Systems: Design and oversee the construction of water supply and treatment systems, ensuring safe and reliable water resources for communities. Stormwater Management: Develop and implement effective stormwater management solutions, including the design of stormwater drainage systems and flood control facilities. Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze and interpret data from field investigations, lab tests, and computer models to inform project design and decision-making. Technical Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports, plans, and specifications for water-related infrastructure projects. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Collaboration: Work closely with government agencies, environmental scientists, and stakeholders to develop and implement sustainable water resource solutions. Participate in meetings and presentations to communicate project status and findings.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited program. Professional Engineer License from the State of Pennsylvania. Highly Preferred Minimum of 4 years of industry experience, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility and leadership. Strong technical skills in water and wastewater treatment processes, collection/distribution designs, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling. Proficiency in software such as Autodesk Civil 3D, WaterCAD, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, TUFLOW, etc. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Valid driver's license.
