We are seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our team in one of our Florida offices in Tampa, Tallahassee, or Orlando.
Responsibilities:
• The technical execution of water resource engineering projects from start to finish
• Develop technical approaches and costing, analysis of field and modeling data, interpretation of modeling results, and hydraulic design
• Technical writing (proposals, memos, reports, etc.)
• Collaboration with other technical staff
• Coordination with regulatory agencies (e.g., Water Management Districts (WMDs), Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and the Mining and Mitigation Program)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Hydraulic or Civil Engineering
• 4 to 8 years of experience in civil or hydraulic engineering
• A strong understanding of Florida regulations WMDs/FDEP
• Hydraulic modeling and analysis experience (e.g., HEC RAS, ICPR4, XPSWMM)
• Demonstrated experience working with public utilities providing potable water supplies
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred
• Project management experience is a plus
• DHI MIKE SHE or an equivalent experience is a plus, and a fundamental understanding of integrated surface water groundwater modeling
• Strong technical writing skills
