Job Description
Colliers Engineering & Design seeks an Assistant Project Manager for their Water Resources Group in Mt Laurel Township, NJ. The role involves hydrology and hydraulics modeling, stormwater management, flood studies, and dam safety permitting. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and preferably 5+ years of experience. Strong analytical, communication, and technical skills are essential. Overview:
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Water Resources Group. The candidate will work exclusively on hydrology & hydraulics modeling, stormwater management design, Flood Hazard Area and Dam Safety Permitting.
Responsibilities:
• Support and/or lead stormwater management projects focused on green infrastructure and low impact development as well as stormwater infrastructure improvements
• Perform hydrologic/hydraulic analyses
• Design Stormwater Management BMP’s
• SWPPP preparation
• Water quality compliance calculations
• Soil erosion and sediment control
• Perform flood studies with HEC-RAS, USEPA-SWMM
• Dam assessments and rehabilitation design.
• Dam breach analysis and hazard classification
• Flood Hazard Area and Dam Safety permitting
• Assisting other departments with engineering and technical support needs
• Report and proposal writing
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Ideally will possess 5+ years of related water resources experience
• PE preferred
• Knowledge of state regulations (NJ at a minimum)
• Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading and other site development related designs
• Demonstrated Civil 3D skills
• Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities
• Ability to work independently, as well as, in a team environment
