Woodard & Curran is seeking a full-time O&M Project Manager to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of a water and wastewater utility serving approximately 20,000 customers. Maple Shade is located in Southern New Jersey, approximately 15 minutes east of Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will possess the following NJ Department of Environmental Protection licenses: S-3 Wastewater Treatment, T-3 Water Treatment, C-3 Wastewater Collections, W-3 Water Distribution. The utility consists of a wastewater treatment plant, 9 lift stations, wastewater collection system, water treatment facility, 1 MG elevated storage tank, and the distribution system. The utility staff will be 10 to 12 employees to manage the system. Each day presents different challenges and learning opportunities as we work towards 100% compliance which is achieved by daily process monitoring and a comprehensive maintenance system. He or she will also work closely with all parties to ensure effective system operation and optimization, staff development, implementation and management of an innovative predictive maintenance management program, administration and implementation of all routine and capital repair and replacement projects, and emergency response for process upsets, equipment failures, force majeure events, all alarm events, etc. Work is performed in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures. Our operators participate in an “on call” rotation for plant coverage outside normal workday hours and shifts may include weekends. In addition, operators will be required to respond to emergency situations and work in inclement weather as needed. The daily schedule is Monday – Friday, 6.30AM – 3.00PM.
