NiSource is seeking a Warranty Analyst for Renewable Assets in Valparaiso, IN. The role involves managing warranty agreements, processing claims, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with internal teams and third-party vendors. Key responsibilities include document control, reporting, and fostering relationships across various business units. Candidates should have a high school diploma, with preferred qualifications including a bachelor's degree and experience in warranty management and renewable energy.
Job Summary

The Warranty Analyst is responsible for streamlining the warranty claims process and extracting maximum value from the renewable Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) during the warranty periods. Primary responsibilities will include managing warranty agreements, processing and overseeing warranty claims from submission to close out and ensuring warranty adherence for all renewable sites, maintaining project document control, and assisting in development and implementation of processes and procedures for the Renewable Generation department. The Warranty Analyst ensures third-party vendors and OEM's are meeting their obligations under the warranty agreements by meticulously working with the Asset Managers and renewable operations team while collaborating and strategizing with peers within NiSource and in the industry.

Essential Functions
• Control and own all warranty agreements for all of Renewable Generation’s renewable assets.
• Ensure compliance with agreements and analyze and submit warranty claims associated with these agreements. Manage warranty claims from submission to close out.
• Generate warranty claim weekly status reports for internal personnel and leadership
• Create and facilitate processes and procedures through collaboration with renewable asset management and operations teams
• Own and manage renewable project documents within the Renewable Asset Management document repository.
• Collaborate and interface with the Renewable Site Supervisors, Renewable Planner, Renewable Asset Managers and Performance Engineers to meet strategic goals and objectives
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other business units including procurement, land & survey, accounting, regulatory, legal, risk management and environmental
• Apply best practices and drive functional consistency, process standardization and operational excellence
• Support and encourage a solution-minded culture
• Promote the necessary environment for effective internal customer satisfaction and collaboration
• Implement activities and processes to ensure the safe, reliable and cost-effective delivery of services
• Utilize technology, tools and planning techniques effectively to improve process results
• Fosters and promote valued relationships with government entities, industry associates, company affiliates, and contractors
• Promote and assure a safe working environment and public safety
• Collaborate with peers to ensure operating standards comply with policies and procedures
• Participate in occupational and personal development as made available

Required Qualifications For Position
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year contract/legal document review and analysis

Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position
• Bachelor's Degree
• 4+ years warranty management
• 4+ years contract/legal document review and analysis
• 1+ year renewable energy experience
• 1+ year process development for continuous improvement
• 1+ year asset warranty management (renewable experience preferred)

Salary Range*:

$52,400.00 - $73,300.00
• The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience , as well as internal pay equity .
