Warehouse Storeperson

R and J Batteries is hiring a Warehouse Storeperson in Earlville QLD. The role involves loading/unloading trucks, picking/packing orders, and assisting with deliveries. Our Cairns branch is looking for a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Operator who will also assist with deliveries of stock to customers.
This role will suit a self-motivated, ‘hands on’ individual who enjoys a variety of duties. You must be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting while observing safe lifting practices.
Full training will be provided so you succeed in this role.
The main focus of this role includes:

Loading and unloading of trucks/pallets
Accurately picking and packing of orders
Checking, charging and fitting batteries
Assist with other branch duties and deliveries when required.

Hours of work: Monday-Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm (40 hours) with rostered Saturday Mornings (paid at penalty rate)
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

A valid Forklift licence or willing to obtain one
Manual drivers licence and confident to drive manual preferred
A valid MR licence or willing to obtain MR licence preferred
Previous experience in a similar role
Able to work independently and part of a team
Comfortable speaking with customers
Flexible and adaptable to working within a fast-paced, changing environment.
Able to match numbers and have good attention to detail.
