Warehouse Operative - Recycling

Next PLC is hiring Warehouse Operatives for their Recycling Team in Pontefract, UK. The role involves handling and sorting recycling materials, operating machinery, and working in a team. This temporary position offers an hourly rate of £11.86-£12.96, with shifts from Wednesday to Saturday. Full training is provided, along with employee discounts and benefits. Candidates must be able to commute to the location.
We are looking to recruit Warehouse Operatives to join our Recycling Team at our Recycling site based in South Elmsall.

Hourly Rate:

£11.86-£12.96 per hour

Shifts:
• Week 1: Wed-Sat 6:00AM- 6:00PM, Week 2: Thurs - Sat 6:00AM- 6:00PM

This is a temp 6 month contract., with potential to turn into a perm contract

About the Role:

The role may include the following:
• Handle and transport material waste (mainly cardboard and polythene)
• Stop and start the bailing machines
• Sort out recycling waste into different types of recycling waste
• Lifting pallets

This could involve:
• Driving a rider powered pump truck
• Communicating with dump truck drivers when they reverse in and out
• Working in a cold/ outside environment
• Working in a small team
• Using machinery for lifting heavy items
• Working towards targets
• Complying with health and safety regulations
