Job Description
Urban Farmer LLC is seeking a Warehouse Manager in Manteno, IL, responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, inventory management, and staff coordination. The role involves optimizing workflows, ensuring safety compliance, and managing an ERP system. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience, strong communication skills, and attention to detail. The position requires physical activity and is set in a manufacturing environment.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all warehouse operations and processes. Oversees receiving, material coordination within warehouse, inventory management and documentation. Optimizes workflows and utilization of the warehouse space. Oversees warehouse aspects of ERP system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversees all warehouse staff (forklift, inventory, gatekeepers).
• Ensure that all Safety rules, OSHA requirements and Company Policies are followed.
• Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods
• Manages ERP system to generate work orders and scanning of materials to each line.
• Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
• Analyzes daily consumption of products from production.
• All staff are responsible for Compliance with all GMP, Food Safety and Plant Safety rules while in the processing facility. Staff are encouraged to report Food Safety and Quality concerns immediately to their supervisors and Quality representatives on shift.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified individuals must have bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience of 5+ years. Individuals must be at least 18 years old to work in the food manufacturing environment. Ability to manage staff in the day- to-day performance of their jobs. Ensure that all department goals and projects are met and adhere to approved budgets. Individual must have thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures. Effective communication skills are needed to support team. This position requires incumbent to have keen attention to detail and experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. The individual must be able to perform each essential job duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Work in and out of cold environment.
• 75% of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must wear required PPE.
• Lift up to 35 lbs.
• Maneuver around an array of equipment that may include
• Bending
• Stooping
• reaching above head.
• Stand for majority of shift, up to 8 hrs. at a time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position works in an office and a manufacturing environment with variable temperature and loud noises from machinery and equipment alarms. The incumbent will be exposed to loud noises and alarms from equipment and machinery.
