Warehouse & Logistics Manager

Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Manager* to work in the Perrysburg, OH area. This is a direct hire position that offers a variety of great benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.*

SUMMARY:
The Warehouse and Logistics Manager will oversee operations at a single warehouse location, managing a team of three direct reports to ensure timely and accurate processing of customer shipments. This role involves streamlining processes, introducing new technologies to improve efficiency, and managing freight costs to optimize overall logistics performance. The manager will lead the team to maintain high standards of accuracy, safety, and productivity while ensuring that all shipments meet customer deadlines and company objectives. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to new technological solutions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: other duties may be assigned as needed.
• Manage day to day operations of the dock to ensure customer orders are process complete and on time.
• Develop department KPI’s that represent the performance of the department.
• Provide monthly market intelligence reports for Logistics and freight. Measure our freight costs to ensure we are driving costs below market levels.
• Introduce new technology and process enhancements to improve employee work efficiencies and reduce our dependency on labor.
• Manage 3PL partners for the management of company freight. Hold regular meetings to identify cost reduction projects to improve freight spending.
• WMS software knowledgeable with experience of implementing WMS software.
• Work with production and customer service managers on increased demand orders and new customer rollouts to ensure timely shipping
• Reviews team member performance and provides feedback and suggestions for improvement
• Ensure all distribution team members are adhering to current safety protocols and standards
• Verify that warehouse racks and floor space is being utilized efficiently, offer suggestions or plans for improved capacity
• Assist with other office tasks which may include bill of lading creation, assisting drivers, and confirming that orders are closed and invoiced
