Warehouse Assistant

Transform Energy is hiring a Warehouse Assistant in Escalon, CA. The role involves accepting deliveries, loading/unloading inventory, conducting inventory audits, vehicle maintenance, and supporting warehouse operations. Candidates must have forklift experience and a valid driver's license. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Occasional travel with overnight stays is necessary. No specific degree is required.
The Utility worker position shall support warehouse, fleet/transport, facilities/yard, maintenance, and logistics activities.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Accept incoming deliveries.
• Load and unload inventory and supplies.
• Place inventory and supplies in designated storage locations.
• Conduct inventory audits as directed.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
• Conduct routine servicing of or maintenance of vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and general repairs.
• Clean interior and exterior of company vehicles, as needed.
• Transport materials to job sites.
• Reports issues to the Warehouse and Fleet Manager.
• Responsible for supporting day-to-day warehouse operations.
• Additional duties required as needed.

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• * Must have prior forklift experience.
• Must have a current forklift certification within the first 30 days of employment. Training provided.
• Utilize forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move and lift heavy items safely.
• Ability to perform work in all weather conditions.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Takes initiative; daily is able to forecast next tasks.
• Occasional travel required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Occasional travel, with overnight stay.
• Successful completion of background check.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education: High school diploma or equivalent, such as the GED or HiSET.

Experience: Prior warehouse experience. Prior fleet maintenance and service experience. Current Forklift certification is desired.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Requires prolonged standing, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and present reports. Regularly required to see, speak and hear. The employee is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and be able to move equipment and/or materials while climbing. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Working Environment

Small home-based business office with moderate noise. Additionally, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration. When performing duties outside the small home-based business office environment, the noise level in the work environment is moderately loud.
