The Tampa Bay Butterfly Foundation is seeking a Volunteer Grant Writer to commit 5-10 hours per week, either remotely or at their location in Tampa, FL. This role involves researching grant opportunities, writing proposals, collaborating with the team, and maintaining records. Position: Volunteer Grant Writer Commitment: minimum 5-10 hours per week Location: Remote or Tampa Bay Butterfly Foundation About Us: Tampa Bay Butterfly Foundation is dedicated to the protection of butterflies and restoration of their native habitats through conservation, public education and research. We aim to make a difference through education and habitat restoration to protect our native environment. We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Volunteer Grant Writer to help secure funding for our programs and initiatives. Your efforts will directly impact our ability to expand outreach, education, and conservation efforts. Responsibilities: Research potential grant opportunities aligned with our mission and goals. Write compelling grant proposals and letters of inquiry tailored to specific funders. Collaborate with the team to gather data, program details, and supporting documents for proposals. Maintain accurate records of grant applications, deadlines, and follow-up requirements. Assist in writing reports to funders on the outcomes of funded projects. Qualifications: Strong written communication and storytelling skills. Experience in grant writing or a related field preferred but not required.
