Job Description
The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation is seeking a creative Video Producer in Oklahoma City or Jenks. Responsibilities include developing, producing, and editing video projects, collaborating with teams, and managing video archives. The role requires a relevant bachelor's degree and knowledge of communication strategies and wildlife conservation. The position is full-time, focusing on creating engaging content that aligns with hunting and fishing regulations.

Responsibilities Is responsible for developing, producing, editing and overseeing video projects for the agency. Works closely with video production team, hosts, and talent to create high-quality, engaging, and informative segments that resonate with our audience. Collaborates with the production team to develop Outdoor Oklahoma program schedule, project timelines, budgets and deliverables for video projects. Ensures video projects are informative, entertaining, and complies with or reflects hunting and fishing regulations and safe practices. Evaluates viewer feedback, trends, and audience preferences to adjust content strategies and improve show quality and relevance. Manages video archives. Works with cross-functional teams and provides expert knowledge for video-related inquiries. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications (Video Production, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations), or Education (Education theory and methods) or Biology (Wildlife or Fisheries Management, Ecology, Zoology, etc.) or related field. If degree is in a non-communication or education area, additional experience or training in communication and education is preferred. Experience: Must have a working knowledge of Communication and Education strategies including but not limited to writing, graphic design, curriculum development, public speaking, event planning and / or facility management. Knowledge and Skills: Thorough knowledge of fish and wildlife conservation principals, hunting/fishing ethics, firearms safety, archery shooting and fishing techniques. Skill and competence in use of small tools. Skill in exercising good judgment in analyzing situations and making decisions and in establishing effective working relationships with other employees and with the public.
