Job Description
Antenna Group, Inc. seeks a Vice President of Climate & Energy Communications to lead strategic communications for complex industries. The role requires 10-12+ years of experience in public relations and corporate communications, particularly in climate and energy sectors. Responsibilities include defining strategies, guiding leaders through challenges, building client influence, and leading high-performing teams. While the position is remote eligible, candidates are preferred from New York City, Washington D.C., or San Francisco.
Antenna is an integrated marketing and communications agency focused on climate, real estate, mobility, health, and more. We combine deep domain knowledge with proven integrated marketing solutions to help innovative, impact-driven companies amplify their vision, supercharge their growth, and inspire action. We believe that conscious brands can deliver consequential change because brand impact demands brand cognizance.
We are looking for an individual who can contribute a diverse perspective and new ideas to the Antenna community. We celebrate differences among our staff and encourage everyone to be their authentic selves. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and remain committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, supportive, and respectful environment where each Ant feels a sense of dignity, belonging, and acceptance.
Antenna is looking for seasoned communicator who has navigated complex industries-energy, climate tech, infrastructure or industrial transformation-and makes them resonate with stakeholders from Wall Street to Washington. You've counseled executives through pivotal moments, crafted narratives that define categories, and built programs that move perception and protect reputation.
This isn't a place to coast. You want to lead, to shape the conversation around some of the most consequential issues of our time, and to grow an agency that's as ambitious as the clients it serves.
While this role is fully remote eligible, our ideal candidate is based in New York City, Washington D.C., or San Francisco-markets where we have strong client and team presence.
What You'll Do:
• Set the Agenda - Define communications strategies that help complex companies lead in fast-changing markets.
• Guide Leaders Through Inflection Points - Provide clear counsel during periods of growth, transformation, or crisis; anticipate issues before they surface.
• Build Influence - Create visibility for clients with top-tier media, trade press, policy audiences, and investors.
• Win Business and Trust - Drive growth by opening doors, earning confidence in the room, and delivering results that stick.
• Lead Teams That Deliver - Recruit, mentor, and grow high-performing account teams; instill discipline, creativity, and pride in the work.
• Represent the Agency - Speak on stages, publish thought leadership, and cultivate a presence across the climate, energy, and industrial ecosystem.
What You Bring:
• 10-12+ years of public relations and corporate communications experience, with significant exposure to climate, energy, or industrial sectors.
• Previous experience working at a public relations or integrated marketing agency is required, with a strong track record of leading client accounts.
• Background in financial or investor communications is highly valuable. You know how to speak the language of investors as well as the media.
• Proven success in growing accounts, winning new business, and developing senior-level client relationships
• Experience leading and developing account teams with high standards of performance
• Strong network across media, industry, and financial communities
• Excellent writing, presentation, and strategic thinking skills
• Ability to distill complex, technical subjects into clear, compelling stories
• A collaborative, low-ego style with the drive to push boundaries and deliver meaningful impact
For New York City applicants, the base salary for this role is $135,000-$195,000. Relevant experience, skills, business needs, and other related qualifications determine compensation. In addition to the base salary, Antenna provides a total rewards package including Professional Development Reimbursement, generous PTO, potential for commissions, affordable healthcare, and matching 401K, as well as numerous programs and initiatives for career development and training.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
• Collaborative, proactive, and persistent mindset.
• Curious nature and the desire to challenge the status quo.
• Passion for Antenna's sectors and a determination to make an impact.
• Drive to deliver an invaluable client service experience.
• Desire to leverage innovative technology to drive impact for our clients and optimize the delivery of great work.
WHAT WE OFFER
• Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and matching 401K.
• Time off is required. We want our ants to rest, relax, and recharge, so we offer a tiered PTO system-based tenure at the agency with 18 PTO days to start and Winter Recess.
• We value and celebrate diversity. Our staff come from different backgrounds, and we honor their various religious and cultural observances by offering Floating Holidays and Heritage Month celebrations.
• Early Fridays are for all year round. Summer Fridays are great, which is why we extend them throughout the year.
• Service is in our DNA. We offer a paid day off every year to volunteer with an organization that is meaningful to you.
• Tenure is valued and rewarded. In addition to tiered PTO and professional development stipends based on tenure, we offer Sabbatical Leave to our seasoned Ants.
• We invest in our Growth-Stage Ants. We connect Ants with Mentors/Allies and other practices for guidance, advice, friendship, and networking.
• We were hybrid before it was cool.
• Growth is the key to our collective success. We offer career development, training, and mobility.
• Connection and relationship building is everything. We offer regular outings, virtual events, interest Slack channels, and happy hours.
