We are looking for a Investment Analyst (Associate/Senior Associate, based on experience and skills) to be part of our pioneering journey.

Role Description

The job role is open to all general and diversity candidates, including people on a career break who are looking to return to work. Candidates applying for Associate position are expected to have at least 3 years of relevant work experience at a venture capital/private equity/investment banking/family office organization, and must have India investing experience.

This is a full-time on-site role for an Investment Analyst at AWE Funds in Gurugram (Mumbai/ Benguluru are options as well). The individual should enjoy working with a small, globally distributed team and can manage working independently on crucial tasks. We are highly collaborative and move fast. The candidate should be able to:
• Analyze financial and company data, and communicate the insights to management
• Perform company and market research
• Generate emerging sector-related ideas, tracking market data and identifying trends
• Screen potential investment candidates and evaluating pitches
• Develop a complete understanding of investment target by evaluating its market opportunity, competition, product, sales and growth, operations, financial statements and projections, management strength, equity needs, and capital structure
• Lead due diligence on new investments
• Prepare written materials, including investment memoranda
• Help portfolio companies aggregate their data
• Investor communications, including quarterly, newsletters and annual reports
• Manage the knowledge base
• Manage compliance and monthly/quarterly reporting in portfolio companies
• Manage firms social media handles and drive engagement; assist senior team in writing articles
• External communications and other tasks as required in the course of business

Qualifications
• (For Associates / Senior Associates – 3+ years work experience in venture capital/private equity/investment banking/family office management.)
• Strong Analytical Skills and Financial Modeling abilities
• Background in Finance
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
• Good communication skills in English and Hindi, both spoken and written
• Experience across the deal cycle – deal origination, execution, portfolio management and exit transaction.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to get things done.
• General curiosity and love of learning.
• Superior work ethic and attention to detail.
• Must be a self starter
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Technology or related field
• Post Graduate/professional qualification preferred, including MBA/CA/CFA
