Perfect Placement is seeking a Level 3 Vehicle Technician in Orpington, UK, offering a salary of £32,000 - £36,000 plus bonuses. The role involves servicing and maintaining vehicles, diagnosing faults, and supporting apprentices. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, with rotational Saturdays. Vehicle Technician Required in Orpington, Kent
• Circa £32,000 - £36,000 Basic + Bonus + Overtime
• Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm (30-minute lunch break + tea breaks) with Saturdays on a rotational basis
Our client, a well-established Vehicle Main Dealer based in Orpington, Kent, is seeking a Level 3 Vehicle Technician to join their industry leading automotive workshop team. This is a excellent opportunity to work with a reputable dealership that values professional development and provides a clear career path from Service Technician to Diagnostic / Master Technician and Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Accreditation.

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining customer vehicles to a high standard, ensuring that all work is completed on time and meets the required safety and performance standards. You will report to the Workshop Controller and liaise with the Service Team.

Key Responsibilities of the Vehicle Technician:
• Carrying out vehicle servicing and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Conducting vehicle health checks.
• Identifying and diagnosing faults and proposing repairs.
• Supporting apprentices and working as part of a wider technical team.
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
• Minimum of NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Previous experience working in a main dealer or independent garage.
• Comfortable with completing manufacturer online learning and attending training courses.
• Desire to progress to more advanced roles such as Diagnostic or EV Technician.
Workshop & Team:
• 11 ramps, modern and well-equipped workshop.
• Team of 7 technicians with a mix of Master Technicians, Senior Technicians, Service Technicians, and 2 apprentices.
• Looking to expand to an 8-member technical team.
Training & Career Progression:
• Manufacturer training provided with opportunities to gain further professional qualifications.
• Support for career development through structured training programs.
• Comprehensive induction program (off-site in Doncaster).
• Pathway to Master Technician or EV/Hybrid accreditation (diagnostic skills not mandatory for EV accreditation).
