Job Description
Coalesce Management Consulting is hiring a Utility Design Administrator in Carson City, NV. The role involves designing electric/gas utility projects using AutoCAD, cost estimating, and contract development. Responsibilities include managing customer expectations, ensuring compliance with standards, and facilitating communication among stakeholders. Candidates should have utility industry experience and strong communication skills. The position is full-time with no degree required.
Performs design work for electric and/or gas new construction, capital maintenance, or system improvements. Responsibilities include project initiation, design preparation using AutoCAD, cost estimating, and contract development. Facilitates customers through the company’s New Business Process by serving as a primary point of contact and ensuring designs align with company standards, tariffs, and regulations. Works under the general supervision of higher-level administrators.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform design work for electric and/or gas services involving new installations, service expansions, or system improvements.
• Utilize AutoCAD to develop accurate utility design plans and documentation.
• Maintain current knowledge of company design standards, tariffs, and regulatory guidelines to develop accurate and cost-effective project designs.
• Create and deliver preliminary project cost estimates.
• Identify customer requirements and expectations for electric/gas utility services and ensure they are reflected in project design and delivery.
• Serve as a central contact for internal and external stakeholders including developers, contractors, engineering firms, government agencies, and utility partners from project inception to completion.
• Prepare and present financial agreements/contracts to customers, ensuring clarity and compliance with internal policies.
• Conduct pre-construction meetings with key stakeholders such as Electric and Gas Inspectors, General Foremen, and Area Service Managers.
• Focus on improving external customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• May participate in an after-hours rotational on-call schedule for emergency or time-sensitive project support.
• Requirements:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
• Prior experience in the utility industry (electric and/or gas) is essential.
• Strong knowledge of utility standards, design practices, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
