Job Description

New York University is seeking an Urban Sustainability Researcher to conduct research on nature-based solutions and climate adaptation. Responsibilities include developing policy strategies, collaborating with agencies and organizations, and publishing research findings. This is a full-time position based in New York, NY.
Responsibilities*
• Conduct applied research on nature-based solutions, climate adaptation, and equitable green infrastructure planning.
• Develop policy integration strategies to support sustainable, community-centered climate solutions.
• Collaborate with municipal agencies and community organizations to co-produce research and decision-making frameworks.
• Create new research on urban NbS with collaborating partners nationally and globally, contributing and leading new funding proposals and research projects
• Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, white papers, and policy briefs.
