Urban Planning Specialist

SMEC Services Pty Limited is seeking an Urban Planning Specialist in Dubai, UAE. The role involves developing regional strategies, preparing work plans and reports, and engaging with stakeholders. Candidates should have at least 7 years of experience, a Master's in Urban/Regional Planning, and proficiency in relevant software. Fluency in English is required, and Arabic is a plus. Willingness to relocate to Oman for the project duration is necessary.
The candidate will report to the technical lead and will be supporting the technical lead in the delivery of the assigned project sections.

The candidate will be responsible for:

§ Responsible for developing quality regional strategies and spatial plans.

§ Preparation of work plans and reports for implementation

§ Preparation of reports and presentation as required

§ Preparation for and attendance at key client meetings.

§ Support in stakeholder engagement

Requirements:

§ Minimum 7 years of experience

§ Masters in Urban planning/ Regional planning

§ Hands-on with softwares such as MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Photoshop, AutoCad is must. Experience is using GIS software would be beneficial

§ Excellent communication skills in English.

§ Reading, writing, and speaking fluent Arabic is a plus

§ Experience in urban and regional planning projects of similar scale

§ Willingness to relocate to Oman for the project duration
