About the Position

The Department of Planning is seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Urban Planning Manager. This position will be responsible for managing the zoning program, serving as the County's technical expert on land use topics, and overseeing the preparation of graphic and narrative reports.

Responsibilities
• Manage the zoning program and ensure compliance with regulations
• Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, developers, and officials on current planning issues
• Recommend improvements to development regulations, processes, and procedures
• Conduct research and analysis on economic, social, and physical factors affecting land use

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or related field and five years of experience, or Master's degree and three years of experience
• Supervisory experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office and ESRI ArcGIS
• AICP certification preferred
