Job Description

The Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission is hiring an Urban Planning and Policy Analyst in Waukesha, WI. The role involves conducting research and data analysis on land use and socioeconomic issues, preparing updates to local plans, and providing guidance to local governments. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in urban planning or a related field, along with 3-5 years of experience. This is a full-time position.
Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission is a nationally regarded regional planning agency seeking a talented professional to join our team. As an Urban Planning and Policy Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting research, data collection, and analysis related to land use, environmental, and socioeconomic topics. Your expertise will inform our team's efforts to address regional-level issues and improve the quality of life for the region.
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and data analysis
• Prepare and present updates and amendments of county and local plans
• Provide guidance on plan implementation to county and local governments
• Review and analyze sanitary sewer extension and other technical plans
Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in urban planning or a related field
• Minimum of three to five years of relevant work experience and/or a master's degree
• Strong analytical and communication skills
