Urban Planning and Community Development Professional

The City of Fayetteville, AR is seeking an Urban Planning and Community Development Professional to implement communication and outreach strategies, assist in planning, and coordinate activities with partners. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least three years of experience. Proficiency in computer software and GIS applications is required. The Urban Planning and Community Development Professional will be responsible for implementing formal and informal communication and outreach efforts with a focus on targeted delivery and evaluation, assisting in creating and implementing outreach and communication strategies and work plans, and identifying target audiences, keeping appropriate records, developing content, and coordinating activities with partners to ensure their effectiveness.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Communications, Political Science, Planning, Architecture, or a related field, and at least three years of experience in a related field. The successful candidate will also possess a valid driver's license, be proficient in the use of computer software programs such as word processing, spreadsheet, document design, and presentation applications, and have a strong understanding of GIS applications and other software programs.
