Urbis is seeking a Senior Consultant/Senior Planner for their Planning team in Sydney, Australia. The role involves contributing to multidisciplinary projects, managing client relationships, and overseeing project costs. The Opportunity: We're on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Consultant / Senior Planner to join our Planning team. You will have the choice of being in our Sydney CBD or Parramatta CBD offices, or both

Your Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to multidisciplinary projects, working collaboratively with our inhouse economists, heritage planners, urban designers, social planners and transport planners
• Provide a range of services including advice relating to land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, master plans, the approval process and management
• Develop client relationships by building trust, providing quality advice and managing expectations
• Write submissions, proposals and advice that accurately reflects the client's need
• Manage small to medium size projects, including scoping and costing of projects, tracking job costs and coordinating consultants and sub-consultants as needed
• Identify and raise issues which may impact fee estimates or timelines
• Coach and develop team members
• Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance and support the Planning team's Business Plan

About You:
• Holds tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline
• Ideal minimum 5 years' experience in Urban Planning
• Ideal some experience in managing planning projects
• Strong knowledge of statutory and strategic planning, and related legislation, ideally gained in a consultancy or local/State government environment
• Keen understanding of impacts and issues affecting land use and development
• Excels in prioritising competing demands of multiple projects within agreed budgets and timeframes
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous professional development
• Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills and can engage with a variety of stakeholders
