We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced planning professional to serve as our Planning Director. This leadership role will oversee the development of long-term growth strategies, land use regulations, and oversee the work of planning staff.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of planning principles, zoning laws, and environmental regulations. They will be able to manage a team and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to promote sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Planning: Lead the development of the County's Strategic Plan, including long-term growth and land use policies.
• Land Use Regulation: Oversee land use regulations, ensuring they align with the comprehensive plan and respond to evolving community needs.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of planning professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Community Engagement: Facilitate public meetings, hearings, and consultations with residents, developers, local businesses, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:
• A master's degree in planning or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in urban or regional planning, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Professional Planners License and AICP certification required.
