Job Description

SMEC is seeking an Undergraduate Environmental Scientist for its Brisbane office. The role involves assisting with environmental impact assessments and management plans within a multidisciplinary team, focusing on diverse projects in renewables and infrastructure. Ideal candidates are completing their final year in Urban and Environmental Planning or Environmental Science, possess strong communication skills, and are eager to develop professionally. The Role

Our high-performing Queensland environmental team is growing with a wide range of interesting projects and sustainable design. We are a large multidisciplinary company with iconic projects across renewables, environmental studies, dam & hydropower, solar power projects, energy transition, roads and in-land rail.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Environmental Planning/Scientist Undergraduate to join our Brisbane team.

Key responsibilities:
• Assisting in developing environmental impact assessments, approval applications and other studies and management plans

Ideal applicants will have/be:
• Completing final year studies in Urban and Environmental Planning or Environmental Science
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment
• A keen desire to grow and develop your skills with a positive energy
• Committed to making the best of your time at SMEC
