Job Description

Principal Financial Group is seeking a Treasury Analyst II in Des Moines, IA. The role involves executing treasury functions, providing financial analysis, assisting business units with treasury services, and managing cash and custodial relationships. Responsibilities include preparing financial reports, cash management, and advising on treasury issues. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree, 2+ years of experience, and strong analytical skills. This position is not remote.
What You'll Do

We’re looking for a Treasury Analyst II to join our Treasury team. In this role, you’ll leverage knowledge and relationships to ensure efficient execution of treasury function, provide assistance to business units and corporate areas regarding treasury services to enable our customers to accomplish their goals, establish and maintain cash and custodial relationships and support bank products and services and assist in the research and evaluation of new opportunities.
• Perform financial analysis and report/research on treasury related activities. Prepare trend and variance analysis on a timely basis for use by management. Assist operating areas in implementation of treasury related activities.
• Assist with advice on treasury issues to ensure the most effective and financially appropriate decisions are made. Coordinate the communication between financial service providers and business areas as needed. Educate other operating units or business partners on bank products and services available to meet their needs.
• Provide technical (business analyst) assistance on treasury-related or cross business unit projects. Assist with the communication and implementation of initiatives and objectives throughout PFG.
• Prepare financial reports, regulatory and financial statements and bank account analysis, and cash flow/investment need reports with special attention to controls and details.
• Execution of advanced daily cash management functions, including account opening, forecasting and liquidity planning, cash position analysis, account fee analysis and funds movement.
• Leverage relationships with financial service provider partners to maintain operational workflow and efficiency.
• Recommend procedural changes while maintaining controls and operational efficiencies.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Who You Are
• Bachelors Degree in business or equivalent experience required
• 2 + years of relevant experience including knowledge of cash management products and processes of US financial institutions required
• CTP or other applicable certifications preferred
• Experience using Kyriba Treasury Management System preferred
• Must have strong problem solving, leadership and analytical skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills required
• Demonstrate the ability to embrace and understand the change process

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$57000 - $95950 / year
Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Work Environments

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek in Des Moines, IA). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
