Job Description

Solar Energy Solutions is hiring a Travel Team Solar Electrician based in Lexington, KY, to support solar installations across multiple states. The role involves installing and maintaining solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and requires extensive travel (75-100%). Candidates need a Journeyman Electrician license and preferably solar PV experience. Benefits include competitive salary, health insurance, paid time off, and a 401K plan.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Travel Team Solar Electrician based in the Lexington, Kentucky area to support commercial and small utility-scale solar installations throughout the region. Requirements



Install, troubleshoot, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) electrical systemsRead and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and solar design plansInstall conduit, wiring, inverters, combiner boxes, disconnects, and related equipmentPerform electrical testing, commissioning, and system verificationEnsure all work complies with NEC requirements, local codes, and company safety standardsCollaborate with project managers, foremen, and installation crews to complete projects on scheduleTravel extensively to project sites and work in various outdoor environmentsMaintain accurate documentation of completed work and inspections

Qualifications

Journeyman Electrician license requiredMinimum 2 years of electrical installation experienceSolar PV installation experience strongly preferredKnowledge of NEC regulations and electrical safety practicesAbility to work at heights and in varying weather conditionsValid driver's license and clean driving recordAbility to travel 75-100% as project needs requireOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plusNABCEP certification is a plus but not required
