Job Description
The City of Philadelphia seeks a motivated Transportation Planning Intern to support transportation planning efforts. Ideal candidates are recent graduates or students with a degree in urban or transportation planning, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with GIS. This internship offers valuable experience in a professional setting, with a salary range of $16.84 to $26.41 per hour. The position is not remote and is located in Philadelphia, PA.
The City of Philadelphia is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Transportation Planning Intern to join our team. The successful candidate will be a critical part of the City’s transportation planning efforts to ensure our citizens have access to safe and efficient transportation.This internship is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or undergraduate student to gain valuable experience in transportation planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in transportation planning and be eager to learn about the field in a professional setting.The successful candidate will possess a combination of the following qualifications: -A Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, transportation planning, or a related field-Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills-Ability to work both independently and as part of a team-Familiarity with transportation planning concepts, principles, and practices-Strong written and verbal communication skills-Experience with GIS and/or statistical software is preferredIf you have a passion for transportation planning and are looking to gain valuable experience, we want to hear from you!
