This is a great opportunity for a Traffic Engineer to work with a dynamic team on complex transportation projects. Work as part of a team as well as independently in learning, evaluating, and applying engineering principles, standards, and criteria
Assist in conducting studies, field reviews and site investigations
Assist in preparing traffic operation analysis, traffic signal timing plans, traffic impact analysis and transportation planning studies
Utilize various modeling tools for traffic analysis (Synchro, VISSIM, HCS) for a variety of conditions and needs at intersection, along arterial corridors and freeway segments
Assist in performing road safety assessments, transportation corridor studies, traffic signal warrant studies, speed studies and safety analyses
Assist in designing work zone traffic control plans, traffic signal design plans and sign and marking design plans
Utilize transportation databases (such as StreetLight Data or ClearGuide) and/or GIS tools for analysis of transportation systems
A candidate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited four-year or graduate engineering university in relevant discipline
A candidate with proficient knowledge of office software (Word, Excel, etc.)
GIS and database management capabilities are a plus

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Minnesota Omnibus Labor and Industry Policy Bill Article 7 Section 2. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, skills, prior work experience, competencies, and geographic work location. The total annual compensation package may consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate, after a qualifying period, in our performance and discretionary incentive bonus program(s).
