The candidate must be a degree-qualified professional with a minimum of 12 to 15 years of transport modelling, transport planning and traffic engineering experience in the Middle East.## Your role* This role requires contributing to a variety of transport planning studies including large scale transport master plan assessments, traffic impact studies or multi-disciplinary planning projects in the public and private sectors.* Independently conduct transport modelling in STEAM as per ITC Guidelines for large multi-disciplinary projects.* Understanding of transport planning, traffic engineering and travel demand theory.* Project experience in the Middle East and familiarity with local transport planning standards and practices.* Practical understanding of the role and importance of transport planning in development access and citywide mobility plans.* Knowledge of traffic analysis to support the traffic impact assessments.* Lead the preparation of reports including Modelling Reports as per ITC requirements.* Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both written and spoken.* Must be able to learn and retain new skills quickly from a variety of sources.* Must be able to work with limited supervision.* Some experience project/financial management.* Competence to assist in growing the Atkins Transport Planning Business as well as to sell Atkins services generally.## About you* Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent is a must.* Minimum 12 to 15 years of experience in traffic modelling and transport planning.* Experience with Abu Dhabi ITC STEAM model.
