Energy Australia is seeking a Transformation Procurement Lead to oversee strategic procurement activities within Energy Operations until the end of 2025. The role involves developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. Candidates should have senior-level procurement experience, preferably in the energy or industrial sectors, and strong communication skills. About the role

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Lead on a fixed contract basis is until the end of 2025 to lead proactive and strategic procurement activities across Energy Operations.

You will be working closely with our Maintenance, Engineering and Site leaders, internal stakeholders and 3rd party vendors to manage procurement requirements and deliver business objectives for our Power Stations.

You will be responsible for
• Taking ownership of developing strategic sourcing strategies in conjunction with business Partners to deliver sustainable value at an organisational level.
• Executing strategic sourcing initiatives that are aligned to business & procurement plans
• Ensuring supplier risk and relationship management is in place for all strategic supplied within assigned business unit/s
• Effective use of finance and procurement systems to deliver spend and contract visibility to ensure we have the data to generate accurate commercial insights that helps drive planning and opportunity realisation.
• Ensuring operational compliance to group procurement policy and processes and ensuring good governance through understanding and applying legal, OHS, ethical, sustainable and commercial requirements 

What we’re looking for
• Someone with demonstrated similar Procurement experience at a Lead or Senior level
• A background in the energy, construction, oil and gas industry or heavy industrial sector (Engineering)
• A natural collaborator with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to influence a broad range of stakeholders
• Proven experience with systems/tools such as SAP Ariba and S4Hanna would be highly desirable
