Job Description
Canadian Solar is seeking a Trainer for Power Electronics in Italy and Spain. The role involves supporting the Sales department by executing training programs for customers and installers of their energy storage products. Responsibilities include delivering training, tracking progress, and motivating trainees. Candidates should have a background in electrical engineering and experience in technical sales or client services. Fluency in Italian, Spanish, and English is required. The position can be remote from Italy.
In this role, you will be charged with assisting the Sales department in maintaining and executing the training program designed to enable the customer network to implement Canadian Solar’s Power Electronic products successfully.
Specifically, you will interface with customers, distributors, and installation teams to insure they are qualified to install the EP Cube residential energy storage solution and CSI inverters.
As a Technical Trainer you will track training progress and drive completion through certification of all trainees.
You will be part of a talented team consisting of engineers who offer in-house advise and support to their colleagues as well as premium service towards our customers.

The person in this role must have an attention to detail with the ability to balance multiple assignments in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. They possess a team-oriented approach and the ability to work with different personalities and professional styles are essential. They are comfortable presenting in front of a group of folks in person or in a webinar setting engaging participants. They have the ability to listen and understand expectations, take direction, and communicate effectively and on a timely basis is a key to success. They can successfully motivate attendees to complete the training program and become certified installers.
Main Tasks
Sales Support
• Develops, optimizes, updates and maintains the technical training program and certifies the trainees of the EP Cube energy storage product and CSI inverters.
• Delivers technical training classes to customers, distributors, and installation technicians.
• Monitors certified installer database, tracks installer training progress, and motivates installers to complete the training and certification process.
• Hosts training events in various locations with focus groups ranging from few to many attendees.
• Works closely with Sales team, Technical Support Engineers, and Field Technicians
• Customer orientation
• Strong organization and planning skills
• Teamwork, communication and intercultural skills
• Fluent Italian, Spanish and English,
• any other language is a plus
• Munich (Germany), Madrid (Spain) or Remotely from Italy
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable; Master’s degree is a plus
• Minimum 3 years of experience in sales engineering, technical sales, product management or client services experience ideally in the energy storage or power electronics sector within the PV industry
• Installation experience with PV module and battery storage system is a strong plus
• Excellent technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn detailed information about the existing product portfolio and to communicate and answer technical and product related questions and topics
• Convincingly and effectively communicate with customers, installer, homeowners, Residential PV integrators, industry working groups and regulatory authorities
• Valid driver license, required
