This is a great opportunity for a Traffic Engineer to work with a dynamic team on complex transportation projects. What will you be doing?
• Work as part of a team as well as independently in learning, evaluating, and applying engineering principles, standards, and criteria
• Assist in conducting studies, field reviews and site investigations
• Assist in preparing traffic operation analysis, traffic signal timing plans, traffic impact analysis and transportation planning studies
• Utilize various modeling tools for traffic analysis (Synchro, VISSIM, HCS) for a variety of conditions and needs at intersection, along arterial corridors and freeway segments
• Assist in performing road safety assessments, transportation corridor studies, traffic signal warrant studies, speed studies and safety analyses
• Assist in designing work zone traffic control plans, traffic signal design plans and sign and marking design plans
• Utilize transportation databases (such as StreetLight Data or ClearGuide) and/or GIS tools for analysis of transportation systems
• Develop report and supporting documentation
• Performing other duties as assigned
What are we looking for?
• A candidate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited four-year or graduate engineering university in relevant discipline
• A candidate with two plus years of relevant experience
• A candidate with proficient knowledge of office software (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Proficiency in VISSIM and Synchro is preferred
• A candidate with proficient knowledge of traffic signal / ITS design is preferred
• GIS and database management capabilities are a plus

Compensation Range
$60,600.00 - $95,700.00
The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Minnesota Omnibus Labor and Industry Policy Bill Article 7 Section 2. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, skills, prior work experience, competencies, and geographic work location. The total annual compensation package may consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate, after a qualifying period, in our performance and discretionary incentive bonus program(s).
