Job Description
The Trades Technician III position is responsible for performing plumbing installations, repairs, and general maintenance; and responding to field and emergency calls to troubleshoot damage, repair, and replace damaged electrical apparatuses. This position will assign work to staff and follow up on work completed in the absence of the Foreman.

Essential Duties
• Ensuring staff are trained and they follow all county and department policies and procedures
• Maintaining a healthy and safe working environment
• Maintaining their own work truck and keeping it stocked according to SOP
• Processing daily work requests and processes in Computerized Asset Management System
• Preparing and maintaining records and reports
• Assisting with operating budget process
• Responsible for county-issued credit card, cell phone, and tablet

Public Speaking Duties
• Participate in meetings and safety committees
Other Job Requirements/Information
• This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing.
• This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
Grade
The grade for this position is B23(3). Salary will be dependent on education and experience.

Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma, or G.E.D AND
• Four years of plumbing trades experience
• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications in addition to the above minimum qualifications
• Commercial plumbing experience
• Non-restricted plumbing license
