Trader, Rins And Renewables

Cenovus is seeking a Trader, Rins and Renewables role for our office in Dublin, Ohio or office in Houston, Texas. The position is responsible for improving Rins Trade Book Value, ensuring Cve compliance with the renewable fuel standard (Rfs), and ensuring sufficient supply of renewable fuels to blend with petroleum gasoline and diesel. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to solve complex problems, and willing to develop beneficial relationships with various market participants (i.e. suppliers, traders, customers, and brokers).

Accountable for building a sustainable and profitable trading portfolio with a focus on driving trades at the right price and generating the best value

Accountable for analyzing highly complex and unique issues to continuously improve or adapt methods, techniques, and strategies to generate the best value

Identify, propose and potentially develop new business opportunities within existing markets by gathering market intelligence and identifying ways to contribute through expansion of markets, assets, and product mixes

Recognize events or changes in domestic and global renewable fuel supplies and logistics and evaluate how they can impact Cenovus Rins trading strategy

Complete transactions that align with all external regulatory rules as well as Cenovus internal standards, risk tolerance, and overall strategy

Establish external relationships with various market participants to maintain a pulse on market conditions and opportunities

Legally authorized to work in the US

Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or related field of study

8+ years of experience in renewable fuels, blending, contract negotiation, and logistics (truck and rail)

Expertise in Rins trading as well as the associated programs and regulations
