Town Planner Role at Penguin-Recruitment
Penguin-Recruitment is seeking a Town Planner to join our client, a leading housebuilding company dedicated to transforming landscapes into thriving residential areas.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of planning policies and regulations, with experience in preparing and submitting planning applications, developing and managing site plans, engaging with local communities and authorities, promoting sustainable development practices, and providing expert advice on planning policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning Applications: Prepare and submit planning applications that comply with local and national planning policies.
• Development Plans: Develop and manage site plans, coordinating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Community Engagement: Engage with local communities and authorities to ensure projects are welcomed and meet community needs.
• Sustainability: Promote sustainable development practices in all planning activities.
• Policy Advice: Provide expert advice on planning policies and regulations to guide project development.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Education: A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role, preferably within the housebuilding sector.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of planning legislation, policy, and procedures.
• Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
• Certifications: Membership with a professional body such as the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is desirable.
