TOOL / FIXTURE DESIGN ENGINEER - WIND TURBINE

Quest Global is seeking a Tool / Fixture Design Engineer for Wind Turbines in Bengaluru, India. The role involves designing tools using Siemens NX CAD, creating 3D models, collaborating with teams, conducting tests, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, 4-8 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in Siemens NX CAD. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.
Job Requirements
• Design and Concept Development: Design tools or fixtures for lifting and handling equipment in Wind turbine domain using Siemens NX CAD.
• 3D Modeling: Generate detailed 3D models and drawings with NX CAD software.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to understand project requirements.
• Testing and Simulation: Perform tests and simulations to ensure tools or fixtures are efficient and safe.
• Tolerance Analysis: Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure precision and functionality.
• Design Modification: Adjust designs based on feedback from production staff and performance data.
• Documentation: Produce clear and accurate documentation and diagrams for each design.
• Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to industry and safety standards.
• Knowledge Maintenance: Keep up to date with the latest manufacturing technologies and methodologies.

Work Experience
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience: 4-8 years in tool or fixture concept design, preferably for lifting and handling equipment in the wind turbine manufacturing.
• Software Skills: Proficient in Siemens NX CAD.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of GD&T.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Manufacturing: Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Welding and Materials: Expertise in welding and material standards.
• Hand Calculations: Preferred knowledge of hand calculations for design validation.
• Interpersonal Skills: Good teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
