Job Description

Mulberry Garden Nursery and Preschool is seeking a Toddler Room Leader in Bath, UK. The role involves overseeing a room for 2-3 year olds, ensuring their well-being and development. Candidates should have a minimum level 2 qualification in Early Years, at least 12 months of senior experience, and strong communication skills. This is a full-time, permanent position with a pay starting at £12.20 per hour.

We have a vacancy for a Room Leader in our Toddlers Room, which has space for up to ten 2-
3 year olds. Children play in our dedicated room but also have plenty of opportunity to interact
with our preschoolers, explore our garden and go on local visits. We are a child-led nursery, open
all year round, Monday - Friday from 08:00-18:00.
Our Room Leaders are confident and positive managers. They are effective at overseeing the
day-to-day running of their rooms, they encourage, listen to and motivate their team. The
children’s well-being, safety and development underpins all that they do.
If you can demonstrate a good understanding of child development, have excellent knowledge of
the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and experience at working in a senior
role, we would love to hear from you. We are a friendly, inclusive team who all have the same

families.
Requirements for a Room Leader:
A minimum level 2 qualification in Early Years or childcare and education
Minimum of 12 months experience as a senior leader in an Early Years setting
Comprehensive knowledge of child protection and safeguarding
Excellent communication skills to ensure successful planning and delivery by the nursery team
A desire to continually strive for best practice
A child-centred and inclusive approach to play, learning and development
Right to work in the UK
