Technical Proposal Manager - Energy Storage Systems

LSP Renewables is seeking a Technical Proposal Manager for Energy Storage Systems in Nully, France. The role involves leading the technical proposal process for large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects, collaborating with engineering and sales teams to create compelling proposals. Candidates should have experience in proposal management within the BESS sector and be fluent in German, French, or Italian, as well as English. This is a full-time position.
LSP Renewable have partnered with a global player in the Battery Energy Storage sector to recruit for a BESS Business Development Manager in Frankfurt, Germany, to identify growth opportunities and sell BESS systems in the C&I and Utility scale BESS and Solar PV sector.

Our client have become a global player in the EV and BESS manufacturing sector, manufacturing lithium-ion batteries with a core focus on the European market, covering residential, C&I, and utility projects. They are active in Germany, France, Italy, and Poland.

Our client are looking for a motivated and detail-driven Technical Proposal Manager with expertise in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to join their expanding team. This position plays a critical role in crafting compelling and technically robust proposals for utility-scale and commercial BESS projects. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and project management teams to produce proposals that meet client specifications and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the entire technical proposal process, from initial planning through to final submission, for large-scale BESS opportunities.

Analyze RFPs, RFIs, and tender documents to identify key technical and commercial requirements.

Organize and facilitate internal proposal strategy sessions to define win themes, solution frameworks, and execution strategies.

Collaborate with engineering teams to create accurate system designs, configurations, and supporting technical documentation.

Write and refine proposal content, including technical narratives, system descriptions, compliance matrices, and performance modeling.

Ensure all submissions adhere to client expectations, internal standards, and industry regulations.

Maintain and continuously improve proposal templates, technical libraries, and content databases to enhance efficiency and consistency.

Offer technical support during customer meetings, negotiations, and bid clarification phases.

Monitor proposal outcomes and track key metrics to identify improvement opportunities and boost win rates.

Stay current on advancements in BESS technologies, market trends, and competitor offerings to ensure technical proposals remain cutting-edge and competitive.
Requirements

Experienced in proposal management, project or solution engineering, preferably in the BESS sector.
Degree educated, ideally in an Engineering or Economic discipline.
Strong understand of BESS system components and their integration with renewable energy sources.
Excellent technical writing, editing and presentation skills.
Fluent in German, French or Italian, and English.
