Good Energy is seeking a Technical Heat Pump Sales Executive in Field, BC, Canada. The role involves guiding customers through renewable solutions, focusing on air source heat pumps and EV charging. Are you an expert closer who is passionate about driving the transition to a cleaner, greener future? We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Renewables Sales Specialist to join our team and become a key player in our mission.
In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront, guiding potential customers through our cutting-edge decarbonisation solutions, leading with air source heat pumps and EV charging, while engaging with colleagues selling solar and batteries.
As a Technical Sales Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in guiding potential customers through our renewable offering journey in domestic properties. You’ll be offering our renewable solutions to customers in their homes, who have been introduced as warm leads through a variety of sources. You'll play a key role in helping the team achieve stretching sales targets through relationship-led, consultative selling using a proven methodology. Our sales journey is detail-rich and technically complex, often spanning up to three months, so patience, perseverance, and sharp objection-handling skills are essential.
Your role is all about building relationships, asking the right questions, and making the complex feel simple. You'll be converting interest into surveys and sales, delivering standout service and expertise via calls, video meetings, and emails — ensuring every customer interaction leaves a lasting, positive impression.
Responsibilities
• Sales Targets: Consistently achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Lead Conversion: Respond promptly to inbound leads generated through marketing activity, converting interest into action.
• Pipeline Growth: Drive the expansion of our domestic pipeline, with a focus on Heat and EV solutions.
• Consultation Scheduling: Schedule and coordinate design consultations with our field-based survey teams.
• Virtual Consultations: When needed, guide customers through virtual design consultation, supporting them from initial interest through to pre-sale.
• Informed Design Support: Use a consultative approach to help customers make well-informed design decisions and minimise rework.
• Design Amendments: Implement design changes independently where needed, with support from the design team.
• Customer Management: Build and manage relationships from initial enquiry through to installation and commissioning.
• Exceptional Service: Deliver tailored, expert support that builds trust and enhances the customer journey, whilst ensuring up to date and accurate customer records within our CRM.
• Operational Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations team to ensure smooth project delivery and excellent service.
• Ongoing Learning: Stay informed on product specifications and market developments through regular training.
• Team Contribution: Support your colleagues by sharing insights and assisting in internal training efforts.
• Brand Ambassador: Represent Good Energy at customer-facing events with enthusiasm, professionalism, and deep product knowledge.
What You'll Need To Succeed
We’re looking for a passionate, self starter, who thrives when working in a fast-paced target driven environment. You’ll be enthusiastic about providing premium sustainable and energy-efficient solutions for domestic customers, supporting them in their decarbonisation journey.
As a team player, you’ll be supportive of your colleagues within the Domestic & Commercial teams, whilst also collaborating and communicating effectively with Operational and Design stakeholders within the business, ensuring outstanding customer service throughout their installation journey.
Essentials
• Heat Pump Knowledge: Proven success in premium sales with essential Air Source Heat Pump experience.
• Self motivated: Able to work independently, meet daily call and quality targets, whilst working to deadlines whilst under pressure.
• Negotiation & Closing Ability: Confident in written and verbal negotiations and skilled at converting queries into sales.
• Relationship Building: Strong relationship-building skills with customers and teammates, through excellent communication skills.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the team and autonomously as needed. Willingness to support others and achieve collective goals.
• Travel ready: Willingness to travel to customer sites or our offices and attend events as needed.
