Akkodis is hiring a Technical Data Analytics Manager for a hybrid contract-to-hire position in Wilmington, DE. The role involves leading data analytics projects to improve patient outcomes, managing technical teams, and delivering analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. Akkodis is seeking a Technical Data Analytics Manager for a contract to hire job opportunity with a client located in the Wilmington Delaware area. Candidate must already be somwhat local to the Wilmington Delaware area and will work hybrid onsite from the start. The Data Analytics Manager will lead the development of high priority data analytics projects that ultimately improve the ability to produce positive patient outcomes. This role is part of a rapidly growing team: the successful candidate will have opportunities for expanding responsibility and shaping the future vision of how data and AI are used.
Rate & Salary Range: $80-85/hr W2 on contract and $130-150K base with a competitive benefits package on the contract to hire
Technical Data Analytics Manager - job responsibilities include:
• This role will have high visibility from business and IT leadership and will have a direct impact on s strategic initiative to build out a modern data lake platform. The ideal candidate has a blend of data analytics technical expertise, leadership ability, and relevant subject matter knowledge.
• Lead technical project delivery teams consisting of data / BI engineers including assigning work, tracking progress, and providing technical guidance.
• Accountable for end-to-end delivery of data analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric + Power BI.
• Design technical solutions based on business requirements in alignment with IT architecture standards and processes.
• Design relational models developing semantic relationships between tables and entities based on requirement gathering and interaction with stakeholders.
• Convert business requirements and problem statements into actionable code delivering ETL/ ELT data transformation, using notebook-based development using PySpark.
• Work closely with group of developers and data engineers to develop, troubleshoot and validate code, models and PowerBI data products.
• Engage and manage business and IT stakeholders throughout the requirements gathering, delivery, and testing process.
• Negotiate project scope, cost, timeline, and changes with business and IT stakeholders.
• Take functional ownership of a specific business area (e.g. Clinical, Corporate Functions, etc).
• Identify and lead continuous improvement activities related to new technologies and business process within Data Products & Analytics department
Required qualifications:
• 8+ years of proven experience leading data analytics projects and technical teams. Must be comfortable working in a dynamic fast-paced environment and highly motivated to grow in responsibility as the team grows, including opportunities for direct people management.
• Technical expertise in both Power BI and cloud Data Lake / Lakehouse technology (must have Microsoft Fabric, however Databricks or equivalent might be considered).
• Strong experience designing data models in the context of a data lake platform, including the implementation of medallion architecture.
• Coding proficiency in PySpark and experience with Git based version control and CI/CD. Will need to pass a technical interview which will include Power BI and PySpark exercises.
• Experience with delivering projects in adherence with IT and team standards. Experience designing and implementing design standards is a plus.
• Experience engaging with business and IT stakeholders.
• Relevant subject matter expertise in relevant business areas (e.g. Clinical Trials, Clinical Operations, Technical Operations) and source system types (e.g. SAP, Veeva, CTMS, PPM)
