AGL is embarking on an ambitious Retail Transformation to establish a customer-centric, digital, lean and flexible business underpinned by leading contemporary technology, and embedding best practice ways of working. As part of this transformation, we will deliver significant change in how the Customer Markets business is experienced by both AGL’s customers and employees, across its operating model including organisational structure, governance, teams and ways of working.

As the Team Assistant within the Retail Transformation Team, you will be providing a wide range of support services that facilitate the effective planning and management of administration duties across senior leadership and the broader team. This role ensures a smooth, reliable, and efficient management of day to day, specific and general administrative functions. You will demonstrate initiative and be proactive while maintaining a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll be doing:
• Supporting with general administration duties for the Retail Transformation leadership team such as diary and calendar management.
• Coordinating the onboarding of new employees, access to systems and equipment, drafting and editing meeting request, emails, internal team communication, presentations, and letters on behalf of the Retail Transformation Leadership Team.
• Assisting the Personal Assistant with the planning and coordination of events, organising catering for team events, morning teas and celebrations including gifts as required, setting up space for events, and ensuring AV and presentation material is ready to present in line with standards and use of templates.
• Welcoming and assisting visitors to the office
• Processing invoices, purchase requisitions, purchase orders and general administration duties.
• Establishing and maintaining co-operative and collaborative relationships with other assistants, members of Customer Markets team and other internal functions, e.g. Finance, People & Culture etc.

What you’ll bring:
• Ability to exercise good judgment and decision-making ability and be able to prioritise conflicting needs and have a strong sense of urgency when performing all tasks.
• High level written and verbal communication skills, exceptional attention to detail,
• Extremely pro-active/high level of initiative and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information, and ability to maintain trust and credibility.
• Excellent planning and organisation skills with a consultative style, and confident at liaising with people from all levels of business.
• Aptitude to learn new processes and systems and Intermediate MS Office skills (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Friendly approachable team player with good business acumen.
